Description	:	CONWAY — Mary Opal Hardee Allen, age 73, widow of Bennie Francis Allen Sr., of Hwy. 319, died Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at her residence. Mrs. Allen was born January 25, 1933, in Horry County, the daughter of the late Blon Hardee and Helen Sarvis Hardee. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Ladies Fellowship Sunday School Class and a former member of the Chancel Choir. Read More	CONWAY — Mary Opal Hardee Allen, age 73, widow of Bennie Francis Allen Sr., of Hwy. 319, died Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at her residence. Mrs. Allen was born January 25, 1933, in Horry County, the daughter of the late Blon Hardee and Helen Sarvis Hardee. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Ladies Fellowship Sunday School Class and a former member of the Chancel Choir. Mrs. Allen worked as an office manager and helped operate the family farm. She was involved in community activities until her health began to fail. Mrs. Allen was predeceased by a daughter, Sarah Thelma Allen, a very special uncle and aunt, Chesley and Marie Stevens, two brothers, Buck Hardee and Bill Hardee, two sisters, Mildred H. Hughes and Wilmina H. Todd. Surviving are a son, Bennie Francis Allen Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Aynor, two daughters, Linda A. Williams and her husband, Edward, of Myrtle Beach, Nancy A. Purvis and her husband, Carl, of Conway, six grandchildren, Sarah Allen, Katie Allen, Mary McKellar Purvis, Charles Purvis, Lucas Williams, Morgan Williams, one sister, Patricia H. Southern and her husband, Jim, of Columbia. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2006, from Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carl Hunsucker and John Winn officiating. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 198 Long Avenue, Conway, SC 29526 or Mercy Hospice of Horry County, PO Box 50640, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579.
