John and Mary Gonser's son George was baptized on May 10, 1806 at Emanuel's Reformed Lutheran Church of the Loop in Centre County, PA. The sponsors at his baptism were George Meinnig and Christina. Some say Meinnig was Mary's maiden name, but more evidence is needed to confirm.
