Read More	Second married William Joy on 10 December 1886 in Wabash County, Indiana. ============================== OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) Mrs. Mary Rebecca Jane Joy, widow of a prominent Civil War veteran, William Joy, died Sunday evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Roy White, 531 Michigan street at 11:30 p.m. Mrs. Joy had been ill for the past seven months but only seriously the last month, which she had been confined to her bed. Mrs. Joy was born in Germany and came to the United States when a young girl. She was born Nov. 27, 1863. She spent her entire life in Wabash county and was a faithful member of the Wabash Wesleyan Methodist church. The body was removed to the Wire funeral home and Monday evening returned to the home of the daughter, Mrs. White. Mrs. Joy was known for her kind and lovable dispsition and took great interest in her church. Mrs. Joy is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Roy White with whom she made her home, Joe Joy of Rock Creek Center, Huntington county, William Joy of Peru, sons, and a daughter Mrs. Myrtle Braggs of South Bend; a son by a former marriage, Delbert Lawson of Rockwell City, Ia., nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her husband who died 27 years ago, two sons, Peter and Alonzo Lawson and a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Smeltzler with her parents preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:15 o'clcock from the late residence on Michigan street, and at 2 o'clock from the Wesleyan Methodist church. Rev. E.E. Cory will officiate and #burial will be in Falls Cemetery.
