October 30, 1862, she was married to Mr. Cyrus Robbins. They accepted the third Angel’s message in the fall of 1874, through the labors of Elder Baxter. Both joined the S. D. A. church when it was first organized in Sharpsburg in 188 [?] and she was always a most faithful member. She fell asleep peacefully on January 9th, 1924, to await the morning of the Resurrection, when the life giver shall call forth the sleeping. She requested no flowers on her casket. Mrs. Mary Robbins, better known as Grandma Robbins, came to Taylor county about 50 years ago, being among the early settlers of Sharps, having lived here until her health failed her, when she made her home with a niece by marriage, Mrs. Mary Eagers in northern Iowa, until about three years ago, when she came back to Taylor county and lived at the Will Davis home until the angel of death called her home. Funeral services were held at the S. D. A. church on Thursday at 10 o’clock, conducted by Elder Nixon of Nevada. Interment at the Grove cemetery. She leaves a host of friends to mourn her departure.
