M'KEE Mary Ruch, daughter of Rudolph and Mary Ruch, was born March 12, 1850 at Glamm, Germany, and died at her home in Massena March 30, 1918, aged 66 years of age. Deceased was united in marriage February 27, 1868 to William T. McKee at the home of her parents near Davenport, Iowa, In 1873 she with her husband and three children moved to Cass county, near Massena, where she has resided for the past forty-three years. To this union were born nine children, four sons, and five daughters: Mrs. Frank Morrison of Anita, Mrs. W. W. Reed of Orient, H. F. McKee of Massena, Mrs. F. E. Ramsey of Bridgewater, W. A. McKee of Atlantic, J. G. McKee of Massena, Mrs. F. H. Edwards of Orient, Mrs. Charles Edwards of Orient, and Harry McKee of Massena, all of whom were with her during her last illness. There are left to mourn the loss of a wife and mother, the husband, nine children, twenty-eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, three brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends. She united with the German Evangelical church at the age of seventeen. About... seventeen years ago she united with the Christian church at Massena since which time she has been a faithful follower of Christ. She talked of going to meet her Savior and expressed no fear of dying and made most of her funeral arrangements. Funeral services were held at two o'clock this afternoon at the Massena Church of Christ and interment in Victoria cemetery. 'Mother is gone and we are lonely, Sadder far than tongue can tell. But she's gone from earth to heaven To Him who doeth all things well.
