Read More	Obituary - Mary Sara (Martin) Pineo, 94 of Bay Spring Avenue, Barrington, and formerly of Clifton Street, Attleboro, died peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Emery G. Pineo, Jr. who died in 1979. Born in Fall River, Mass. on Dec. 31,1917, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Medeiros) Martin. She was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where she was a graduate of Attleboro High School. Prior to moving to moving to Clifton Street in Attleboro. A longtime employee for the City of Attleboro School Department, Mrs. Pineo began working as a cafeteria employee and then became a long time administrative assistant to the superintendent of schools until her retirement following 31 years of service. Following her retirement from the school department, Mrs. Pineo worked for 10 years for Stephenson's Company in Attleboro. Once again she would return to as a bookkeeper for her granddaughter's husband's business, Loanbright, and she would work remotely from her home-base computer for the Colorado company well into her 80s. She moved to Barrington in 2002 from Attleboro. While residing in Attleboro she was a communicant of St. John Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and then St. Mark Roman Catholic Church when the church opened in Attleboro Falls. She will be lovingly remembered by her family for her excellent cooking abilities, in particular, the wonderfully delicious apple pies she would bake. Mrs. Pineo was an ardent seamstress, knitter and crocheter. She loved to knit sweaters for her family members and extended family members. Attuned to young people, she dedicated and devoted her life to children and with fond recollections recalled the time spent as a cook at former Camp Hammond in Plymouth. Well traveled, Mrs. Pineo thought that travel enriched the lives of young people and thoroughly enjoyed trips to Europe with each of her grandchildren. She leaves two children, Virginia A. Gonville and her husband, jerry Gonville, of Barrington, and Emery G. Pineo III and his wife, Lindsey I. (Knight) Pineo of Little Compton, five grandchildren, Cheryl L. Straub and her husband, Russell Straub, of Evergreen, Colo., Deborah A. Miller and her husband Charles T. miller, of Barrington, David P Conville and his wife, Maeve Gonville, of Barrington, Emery H. Pineo of Tiverton, and Brandon E. Pineo and his wife, Renee, of East Providence, seven great-grandchildren whom she adored: Nicholas, Harrison, Theodore, Kylie, Maxwell, Mirabel and Simon and several extended family members and friends. She was the sister of the late Frank Martin and David Martin. There was a funeral service on Monday morning, Sept. 17, in the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Rita, Pastor of Our Lady of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Seekonk, Officiating. Burial will be private in North Purchase Cemetery, North Main Street, Attleboro.
