She was born in Laurel, on July 4, 1923, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Staley) Schreiner. Mary married Henry Bangert in Billings on Aug. 6, 1940. Read More	Mary Bangert, 87 Billings Gazette, The (MT) - Tuesday, July 13, 2010 LAUREL — Mary Bangert, 87, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2010. She was born in Laurel, on July 4, 1923, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Staley) Schreiner. Mary married Henry Bangert in Billings on Aug. 6, 1940. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to bake for her family. She would spend days baking all the favorites for each child and packaging with love. We all looked forward to the gift boxes she would send with homemade cookies, candies and trinkets for every holiday. Another joy was getting together with her two sisters and making those delicious German meals that none of us can duplicate. She enjoyed making her assortment of crafts, sewing, quilting, crocheting, embroidering and tending to her flowers. Survivors include her son, Jerry Bangert of Laurel; daughter, Sandy Bafaro of Spokane, Wash.; brother, Reynold (AnnaBelle) Schreiner; grandchildren, Jeremy (Heather) Jones, Jenni (Aaron) Johnson, Jared (Jen) Bangert, Terri Evans, Deserie (George) Ramirez, David Bafaro and Matthew Bafaro; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert; four brothers, Peter, Harold, Herman and Ruben Schreiner; two sisters, Pauline Walter and Helen Kroll; and numerous nieces and nephews. Thank you to family and friends that called and visited Mary as well as the kind, loving staff at Tender Nest. A special thanks to Pastor Gary Bobo for his weekly visits which gave her strength. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 16, at the First Congregational Church, with interment in the Laurel Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Rocky Mountain Hospice.
