She came from England to Canada in 1912 and entered the United States at Seattle, Washington, October 13, 1915. She worked at her trade as a seamstress in Seattle, Washington and Billings, Montana, and took up in Homestead in Treasure County, Montana, where she met Charles O. Dirrim. They were married September 17, 1920 at Billings, Montana and came to Hamilton, Indiana in August 1936 where they have made their home. Mrs. Dirrim had two sons, from a former marriage; Harry C. Williams, of Louisville, Kentucky; and Herbert B. Williams, of Cairo, Illinois; a sister, Mrs. Tom Garbett, of Brooklyn, New York; a stepson, William H. Dirrim, of Richmond, Virginia; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was a member of the Hamilton Methodist Church, where she attended as long as her health would permit.
