Description	:	At about 8 o'clock this morning occurred the death of Mrs. Mary Petrick at the home of her son, Bert Petrick, 613 East Davenport street. The deceased had been suffering with illness for about five weeks and the death came as a result of a complication of stomach and heart troubles. Mary Skubac was born in Bohemia in 1841 where the early years of her life were spent and where she grew to womanhood. Read More	At about 8 o'clock this morning occurred the death of Mrs. Mary Petrick at the home of her son, Bert Petrick, 613 East Davenport street. The deceased had been suffering with illness for about five weeks and the death came as a result of a complication of stomach and heart troubles. Mary Skubac was born in Bohemia in 1841 where the early years of her life were spent and where she grew to womanhood. In the year 1864, she was married to Joseph Petrick and soon afterwards the young couple came to this county to seek their fortune and to rear their family. They first settled in Wisconsin where they resided for three years, moving to Iowa City in 1870. Here the deceased had made her home continually since that time. She is survived by four children as follows: one son, Bert Petrick, of the Hawkeye Paint company, this city, and three daughters, Mrs. Link Hess, Mrs. Will Lorack and Mrs. Emil Dvorak, all of this city. Mrs. Petrick was a sincere Catholic and a devout member of the St. Wenceslaus church. The funeral arrangements have not as yet been completed and will be announced later.
