Daniel Hartman Funk 6. "Eva" Annie Evaline (Funk) Showalter ----- The following obituary appeared in "The Indiana Progress" (Indiana, PA) on Wednesday, May 2, 1900, page 4, column 2: MRS. ANDREW FUNK. Mrs. Mary Speedy Funk died at her home, at Fish Lake, Ind., on Sabbath morning, April 29, 1900, in the 66th year of her age. She was a daughter of the late Hugh M. Speedy, of Conemaugh township, and a sister of Mrs. A. T. Moorhead, of this place. She was married to Andrew Funk in the year 1859 and has resided on the same farm where she died during all her married life. She is survived by her husband, four sons and one daughter. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, taking active part in the work of the church as far as her health would permit. She was an affectionate wife and a tender and loving mother. She was held in high esteem by all her neighbors for her kind acts to the poor and distressed. Interment will be made to day in the Fish Lake cemetery. Services will be conducted by her pastor.
