Description	:	Mary Stephens was born September 9, 1814, in Green county, Pa., and died April 20, 1907, at the home of her son Joseph, in Liberty township. She came to Ohio with her parents in 1833, where the remainder of her life was spent. She was married to Wm. Bell in 1834. Of this union eleven children were born, nine of whom are living. Read More	Mary Stephens was born September 9, 1814, in Green county, Pa., and died April 20, 1907, at the home of her son Joseph, in Liberty township. She came to Ohio with her parents in 1833, where the remainder of her life was spent. She was married to Wm. Bell in 1834. Of this union eleven children were born, nine of whom are living. Three sisters survive her. Wm. Bell died in 1877. In 1881 she was married to David Grabell, who died some ten years after. She was a kind neighbor, a good wife and a devoted mother. She never tired of ministering to the wants of her family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her work done, to her there was apparently no sting to death. She died peacefully, "like one who wraps the draperies of his couch about him and lies down to pleasant dreams." Funeral services were held at Fredonia conducted by the Rev. Mr. Hart. Published in the Newark Advocate, Newark, Ohio, May 6, 1907.
