Description	:	GREENSBORO, NC ~ Mrs. Mary Sue Dearmin Slate, 74, of Simmons Court, Greensboro, formerly of Westfield, departed this life on Sunday, July 4, 2004. In her new heavenly home, she has rejoined her husband, Alfred Slate; and her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Vance Dearmin, who preceded her in death. She leaves behind her son, Walter Slate and fiancee Patricia Wyrick of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Lee Ann Meadows and husband Joe of Mount Airy, Samantha Slate of Greensboro and Chris Slate of Newark, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Sophie Meadows of Mount Airy; a brother, Fletcher Dearmin of Westfield;... In her new heavenly home, she has rejoined her husband, Alfred Slate; and her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Vance Dearmin, who preceded her in death. She leaves behind her son, Walter Slate and fiancee Patricia Wyrick of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Lee Ann Meadows and husband Joe of Mount Airy, Samantha Slate of Greensboro and Chris Slate of Newark, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Sophie Meadows of Mount Airy; a brother, Fletcher Dearmin of Westfield; and a sister, Helen Inman of Mount Airy. She was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord. Her love, care and giving ways will never be forgotten and she will be greatly missed by all who cherished and loved her. She was a true blessing to have as a mother and grandmother. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, at Westfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Westfield with the Rev. Joel Stephens officiating. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, July 6, at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
