Description	:	Mary Theresa Swift Kinney, 94, of South Sioux City died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at a South Sioux City care center. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, with the Rev. Daniel Wittrock officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery. (Walsh) Swift on Aug. 26, 1913, in Ponca, Neb. She graduated from Waterbury (NE) High School. She married Donald H. Kinney on April 18, 1934, in Willis, Neb. The couple farmed near Wakefield, Neb., moving to South Sioux City and then to Sioux City. They returned to South Sioux City in 1969. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City and the church Altar Society. One of her joys was going to San Francisco, Calif., to see the Pope. She also loved traveling to see her sisters, her children and grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Margene Martin of Sioux City, Donna Kinney of Dakota Dunes, and Karen and her husband, Robert Schmith of Sioux City; a sister, Laurine Burgard of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald on July 18, 1983; three brothers, Leo and Vernon, in infancy and Joseph Swift; and four sisters, Monica Rose Swift, as a young child, Lucille Duncan, Helen Sanders and Florence Delorenzo; and a granddaughter. Pallbearers will be Troy Martin, Sandy Otte, Richard Kinney, Kenny Schroeder, Bill Kinney, Dale Kinney, Paul and Joe McArdle. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren; a great-grandson, Jon Lacroix; and a great-granddaughter, Kelsie Martin.
