Mary Venus Gilbert, 83, of Springdale, Arkansas, died on Wednesday, February 28, 2001. The daughter of George Frederic and Goldie Alice (Dellinger) Beeler, she was born November 8, 1917 in Lancaster, Missouri. On April 17, 1938 at Princeton, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Harry Gilbert. He survives, as also do her four sons, David Gilbert and his wife, Carol of Winston Salem, North Carolina, Steve Gilbert and his wife, Fadi of Ormond, Florida, Marc Gilbert and his wife, Delene of Garland, Texas and Michael Gilbert and his wife, Pam of Springdale, Arkansas; also one brother, Carl Beeler and his wife, Doris of Coatsville, Missouri; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert have lived most of their married life in Springdale, Arkansas, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Beulah Bragg and Barbara Steggall; seven brothers, Olin Beeler, Earl Beeler, Estel Beeler, Walter Beeler, Dale Beeler, Paul Beeler and Dean Beeler. A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, March 3, 2001 between the hours of 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Graveside services will be on Sunday, March 4, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. at the Arni Memorial Cemetery at Lancaster, Missouri with Bobby Beeler officiating. The family has requested that those wishing to do so, in lieu of flowers, may donate to the Hospice, Circle of Life or the First Baptist Church of Springdale, Arkansas.
