March 27, 1971 - Carroll Daily Times - Mary Collison, 83, a longtime resident of the Carroll area, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, March 26, at the St. Anthony Nursing Home. Requiem mass will be celebrated by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry B. Karhoff at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Lawrence Church. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be recited Sunday at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Miss Collison was born at Carroll April 29, 1887, a daughter of Fred A. and Joanne Wolfe Collison. She spent her young womanhood in Carroll and in World War I served in the Army Corps of Nurses. In 1933 she moved with her sisters, Nell and the late Ann Collison to a home four miles west and one half mile south of Carroll. She and her sister Nell Collison moved to the present home at 1709 North West Street, Carroll, in 1967. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church and Ladies Guild and the Legion of Mary. Surviving with her sister Nell are a brother, Fred F. Collison, Carroll; her nephews and nieces, Ned Collison, Carroll, Mrs. M.S. (Dorothy) Winders, Los Angeles, Calif.; Dr. Richard Collison, Carroll, and Mrs. Edward (Cathleen) Schwarzkopf of Milwaukee, Wis.; also 17 grandnieces and grandnephews.
