A memorial service is pending with Carlson Funeral Home. Mary V. was born on March 3, 1922 in El Dorado, the daughter of Albert Z. and Josie M. (Graham) Peffley. She was united in marriage to Earle F. Miller, Jr. on April 23, 1943, in Montgomery, Alabama, during World War II. A memorial service is pending with Carlson Funeral Home. Mary V. was born on March 3, 1922 in El Dorado, the daughter of Albert Z. and Josie M. (Graham) Peffley. She was united in marriage to Earle F. Miller, Jr. on April 23, 1943, in Montgomery, Alabama, during World War II. They celebrated 63 years together before he preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 2007. Mary V. was a member of the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado. She was also a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class, Ladies Circle, Alzheimer's Association, Butler County Historical Society and Daughters of the American Revolution. She worked for many years at the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce and the Butler County Extension Office. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Bud Miller and wife Sylvia of Dripping Springs, Texas, Neil Miller and wife Barbara of Parker, Colo., Richard Miller and wife Denise of San Jose, Calif., and Melinda (Miller) McGarvey and husband Michael of San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Alberta (Peffley) Baker; her brother, Paul Peffley; and her husband, Earle F. Miller, Jr. Donations may be made in memory of Mary V. Miller to the First United Methodist Church and St. John's Catholic Church in El Dorado and sent in care of Carlson Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
