Description	:	Mrs. Mary Virginia Shipp Bailey, 83, of 120 Southwood Drive, Clinton, died Thursday in Sampson Regional Medical Center, Clinton, NC. Mrs. Bailey, born in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Banard Shipp and Addie Mae Gautier Shipp and was the widow of Earl Covington Bailey. She was a homemaker and attended Colonial Heights Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosemary Bailey Tew. Shipp of Clinton, and two sisters, Mildred Rich of Garland, NC; and Geraldine Armistead of Fayetteville, NC; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The family recieved friends from 2-3pm, Saturday, December, 29, 2007 at the Funeral Home one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Baptist Children's Home of NC, P.O.Box 338, Thomasville, NC, 27361-0338. The funeral services were held at 3pm, Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton with Reverend Charles Ray Jernigan officiating. Burial was made in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Clinton, NC.
