Description	:	Mary Wells Sutter, daughter of Irl and Rosa Maude (Moore) Beavers, was born in Mercer, Missouri, on January 4, 1925, and passed away on February 29, 2016, at Pearl’s II Eden for Elders in Princeton, Missouri, at the age of 91 years. Mary was raised in Mercer, Missouri, where she was a 1942 graduate of Mercer High School. Read More	Mary Wells Sutter, daughter of Irl and Rosa Maude (Moore) Beavers, was born in Mercer, Missouri, on January 4, 1925, and passed away on February 29, 2016, at Pearl’s II Eden for Elders in Princeton, Missouri, at the age of 91 years. Mary was raised in Mercer, Missouri, where she was a 1942 graduate of Mercer High School. On January 9, 1943, she was united in marriage to Darwin James Wells and to this union four children were born. During World War II Mary worked at an armament manufacturing plant in Davenport, Iowa. They returned to Mercer where she worked in the post office for several years, retiring from that position to raise her children. They later moved to Arizona where Darwin preceded her in death on November 13, 1989. In 1993, Mary was married to Edward Sutter in Arizona. Ed preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Bonnie Smith; and by three brothers, Joe, Jim, and Dennis Beavers. Mary is survived by her two daughters, Lori Porter (and son-in-law, Gary) of Mercer, Missouri, and Maria Webdale of Glendale, Arizona; her two sons, Marc Wells of Springfield, Missouri, and Michael Wells of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister, Marlene Stark (and brother-in-law, Everett) of Mercer; two brothers, Jack Beavers (and sister-in-law, Maria) of Davenport, and Ted Beavers (and sister-in-law, Leta) of Moline, Illinois; two sisters-in-law, Lois and Garnet Beavers, of Princeton, Missouri; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great, great-grandchild, and by other relatives and friends. Mary was a member of the Mercer Christian Church. She enjoyed playing pitch and scrabble. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at 2:00 P.M., at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Lineville, Iowa, with Pastor Ron Helton officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville.
