Description	:	Mary Yenter was born near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, August 9, 1850. She was left motherless at the age of two years and at the age of three, moved with her father from Pennsylvania to Dubuque, Iowa, and later to Ackley, Iowa . She was married to Charles Glaser, October 6, 1871, to which union were born seven children, five sons and two daughters. She was left motherless at the age of two years and at the age of three, moved with her father from Pennsylvania to Dubuque, Iowa, and later to Ackley, Iowa . She was married to Charles Glaser, October 6, 1871, to which union were born seven children, five sons and two daughters. The sons are: Charles Conrad, Henry William, John Jacob, and George Roy and the daughters are Mrs. Lydia Garten and Clara May Glaser. A son proceeded her to the spirit world in infancy. Mrs. Glaser was taken sick on the sixth day of last May with hemorrhage of the stomach from which sickness she never entirely recovered, and on the ninth day of last August she suddenly became worse and was bedfast from that time until her death. The immediate cause of her death was termed tuberculosis of the stomach. The deceased united with the Presbyterian church at the age of twelve years from which time she has lived a consecrated, exemplary life. Her Christian experience has been a beautiful one and a great help to her family as well as her friends. Eleven years ago she joined the Presbyterian church at Vernon and a few years later transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church at Wray. She departed from this life Sunday, November 5, at the age of 61 years, 2 months and 26 days. The funeral services, were held at the Presbyterian church here last Tuesday, Rev. G. W. Kaufman delivering the sermon, and the remains were laid to rest in the Grand View cemetery. The Rattler joins with the scores of friends in extending the deepest sympathy to the sorrowing husband and children in this their darkest hour.
