Description	:	After an illness of about two weeks, Matthias Heser, one of our most highly respected citizens passed away at his home in south part of town, death resulting from an attack of paralysis, his age was 77 years and 14 days. Up to the time of his paralytic stroke, Mr. Heser had been enjoying good health. He was a good, kind husband and father, and a man highly esteemed by all who knew him. Read More	After an illness of about two weeks, Matthias Heser, one of our most highly respected citizens passed away at his home in south part of town, death resulting from an attack of paralysis, his age was 77 years and 14 days. Up to the time of his paralytic stroke, Mr. Heser had been enjoying good health. He was a good, kind husband and father, and a man highly esteemed by all who knew him. Deceased was born January 10, 1841, in Irrel, Germany and came to America as a young man in 1866. He first settled in Lee County, Illinois, where he was married to Miss Elizabeth Classen. In 1884 he came to Nebraska, settling in L town where he farmed until fifteen years ago when he moved to Beaver Crossing, which has been his home until death claimed him. He leaves a wife, three sons, John, Mike and Phillip, two daughters, Miss Mame Heser and Mrs. Fred Geis, many other near relatives and friends to mourn his death. The funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 28 at the Catholic church, Fr. Donovan, local pastor, in charge, assisted by Fr. Boll of Exeter and Fr. Ress of Hebron, singing was furnished by choir of the Catholic church of Utica. The funeral was very largely attended by relatives and citizens. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery southeast of town. The people of our community join in extending their sympathies to the bereaved relatives.
