Description	:	MATH REINIG, a farmer residing three miles southeast of here, died Tuesday night while returning home from town. Mr. Reinig walked to town in the afternoon to attend to some business matters and seemed to be in the best of health. Read More	MATH REINIG, a farmer residing three miles southeast of here, died Tuesday night while returning home from town. Mr. Reinig walked to town in the afternoon to attend to some business matters and seemed to be in the best of health. About 7:30 he started home with a neighbor and on leaving him bade him good night and started across the field towards his home. His wife became alarmed when he did not return and a search was begun. Mrs. Reinig and the oldest boy started out with the family dog, as it was very dark the body would probably not have been found so quickly but the dog led the wife and son to where it was lying. The deceased was quite a large man and it is [thot] the exertion affected his heart. Math Reinig was born in Onscholz Kreis Saurburg Rgrbs Trir, Germany, May 20, 1870, and died Feb. 29, 1916, aged 45 years, 9 months and 9 days. Mr. Reinig came to the United States in 1884, being 14 years of age. On Feb. 23, 1898, he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Neubauer. Seven children were born to the, four whom, Kleopha, Joseph, Clara, and Mathias, with the widow, are left also two brothers, John of Panama, and Jake, living near here, and two sisters, Mrs. Jno. Pitch and Mrs. Greiner. Mr. Reinig was a resident of Shelby county for 31 years having lived near here most of the time. Requiem high mass was celebrated by Rev. Failenschmidt at St. Mary's Church, Friday morning at 9:00 o'clock. Six nephews of the deceased acted as pall bearers. Relatives from a distance attending were Paul Neubauer of O'Neil, Neb.; George and August Neubauer and Mrs. Charles Billerbeck of Osmond, Neb.; Mrs. George Reimers of Pierce, Neb.; John Smith and Nick Weber of Keokuk, Iowa. Father of Maria Anna, Cleopha, Joseph Francis, Clara, Aloysius, Zeno & Mathias John Reinig.
