Description	:	Came to America in April of 1885 with his wife, Angela and three sons, Mathias, Nicholas, Peter and one daughter, Mary Ann. He was born in what was known as Salmrohr Trier, Germany at the time. Five other children died in childhood in Germany. Came to Chicago first, from New York, then to Belle Plain, Minn. About 1892 the family moved to Webster, Day county, South Dakota. He, his wife and three of the children spent the rest of their lives in the Day county area. About 1892 the family moved to Webster, Day county, South Dakota. He, his wife and three of the children spent the rest of their lives in the Day county area. I gave directions of where the possible location of this cemetery was to G Monson, who lived in the area of Webster. He took the time to find it, and was able to get the area mowed so it was accessible, he also went to the Catholic Church and the Court House in hopes of finding information about this forgotten Cemetery. He found nothing. He could not find a head stone for my Great Grandfather Mathias. I only guess that it has been overcome by nature and is there someplace under the earth. While a relative was able to describe the location of the cemetery she did not know the location of the grave. I only knew this Cemetery existed because of the obit from the paper.
