Description	:	Tilda Christena Mortensen was born in Dannebrog, Nebr. Aug 20, 1891. She was a member of the graduating class of 1907. After taking a course in the Kearney State Normal she taught her first and only term of school in 1909, the latter part of which she was not allowed to finish on account of an attack of severe sickness. Since then her health had been failing. She died Friday, March 22, leaving her father and mother, five sisters and two brothers, and a host of friends to mourn her loss. After taking a course in the Kearney State Normal she taught her first and only term of school in 1909, the latter part of which she was not allowed to finish on account of an attack of severe sickness. One sister, at the age of sixteen, preceded her in 1903 to that great beyond. The funeral was held Monday from the Lutheran Church and was very largely attended by a host of friends who followed her to her last resting place. Miss Tilda was a very bright young lady and it seems strange that so intelligent a young person should be taken from our midst.
