Description	:	Mathilda Kathrine Raatz was born Jan. 6, 1890, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lindemann at Hanover, Germany, and passed away Feb. 25, 1972, at the age of 82 years at the Blue Valley Lutheran Home in Hebron, Nebr. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was confirmed March 4, 1904, in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brooklyn, N.Y., and maintained her affiliation with the Lutheran Church during her lifetime. She came to Brooklyn, N.Y. from Germany at the age of seven years and resided there 17 years until moving to Chester, Nebr. The remainder of her life was spent around the... She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was confirmed March 4, 1904, in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brooklyn, N.Y., and maintained her affiliation with the Lutheran Church during her lifetime. She came to Brooklyn, N.Y. from Germany at the age of seven years and resided there 17 years until moving to Chester, Nebr. The remainder of her life was spent around the Hubbell and Chester areas. She married Charles J. Raatz Nov. 15, 1915, at Hebron. To this marriage nine children were born. Mathilda Raatz is survived by her husband, Charles J. Raatz; fve sons, Albert Raatz and Donald Raatz of Hubbell, Paul Raatz and Charles Raatz of Hebron, Martin Raatz of Chester; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Wolcott, Mrs. John (Marie) Potthast, Mrs. Harry (Margaret) Witte of Hebron, Mrs. James (Carol) Mulch of Independence, Mo.; 16 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents. Funeral services were held in the Montgomery-Schroeder Chapel of Hebron, Monday, Feb. 28, at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. James Reentz officiating. Pallbearers were Jim Raatz, Lonnie Raatz, Richard Kleen, John Walters, Larry Potthast, Steven Zuehlsdorf. Interment was made in the Chester Cemetery.
