She received her education in Jones county schools. She was married Oct. 23, 1928 at Cedar Rapids to Emil W. Zimmerman. They farmed in Jones county. Prior to her illness, Mrs. Zimmerman was employed for 17 years as a nurse at John McDonald hospital, Monticello. She was a member of Wayne Zion Lutheran church. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Paul H. of Anamosa and James F. of Postville; seven grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; a brother, John, and a sister, Mrs. Elwell B. (Augusta) Null, both of Monticello. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and a sister. Casketbearers were Ralph Husman, Melvin Husman, Irvin Husman, Harold Husman, Arthur Husmann, Claude Husmann, Vernon Null and La Verne McVay.
