Description	:	Thanks to contributor #47343179; Matilda Christina Johnson was born in Gobnskping Sweden, October 6th 1856 and died at her home in Palmer August 27th 1914 at 4 p.m. aged 57 years, 10 months and 21 days. The deceased came to Illinois in 1875 and was united in marriage one year later to Swan Gustaf Engquist. In 1879 they removed to Central City Nebraska, and shortly after located on a farm near Palmer where they remained until 1909, when they removed to Palmer. Read More	Thanks to contributor #47343179; Matilda Christina Johnson was born in Gobnskping Sweden, October 6th 1856 and died at her home in Palmer August 27th 1914 at 4 p.m. aged 57 years, 10 months and 21 days. The deceased came to Illinois in 1875 and was united in marriage one year later to Swan Gustaf Engquist. In 1879 they removed to Central City Nebraska, and shortly after located on a farm near Palmer where they remained until 1909, when they removed to Palmer. She survived her husband by nine months and one day. To Mr. and Mrs. Enquist were born twelve children, nine of whom died in infancy. She is survived by a sister and two brothers, all living in Hamilton County, Nebraska and also a sister in California. She leaves a daughter Mrs. August Johnson and two sons Frank and Pete and four grandchildren to mourn her loss. The deceased had been in poor health for the past 18 years. The funeral servcies were held at the house on Friday afternoon at 4:30 by the Reverend J. H. Bishop, pastor of the M. E. church.
