Stanley at Dixon, Neb., April 3, 1921, being 90 years, 9 months and 25 days old. She was the last surviving member of a family of thirteen children. Davis was born June 8, 1830, in Maryland to James and Elizabeth Davis and died at the home of her son J.J. Stanley at Dixon, Neb., April 3, 1921, being 90 years, 9 months and 25 days old. She was the last surviving member of a family of thirteen children. She moved with her parents to Virginia where she spent most of her childhood days, moving from there to Economy, Indiana, where she was married to William Henry Stanley, June 14, 1857. The following fall they moved to Ironton, Wis., living there eight years when they moved to Monona county, Iowa, where they lived until 1879; from there they moved back to Monona county, Iowa, where they lived until the spring of 1883, moving from there to Dixon county, Nebraska, where she spent the remainder of her life with the exception of two years spent at Straton, Colorado. To this union was born two children, J. J. Stanley of Dixon, Neb., and Mrs. C. A. Jacques of Sioux City, Iowa. She, also, raised two adopted children, Mrs. C. E. Vernon of Dixon, Neb., and A. S. Dennis of Colorado, he having preceded her in death in 1902.
