Description	:	MATILDA JANE WILEY Matilda Jane, fifth child of Silas and Jane Holeton, was born Nov. 21, 1856, in Harrison county and departed this life at her home 2 1/2 miles southeast of Woodbine, Sept. 4, 1932, at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 13 days. She spent most of her life in Iowa. The only exception being a short time spent in Illinois and Missouri. In 1874 she was united in marriage to Thomas E. Wiley. Read More	MATILDA JANE WILEY Matilda Jane, fifth child of Silas and Jane Holeton, was born Nov. 21, 1856, in Harrison county and departed this life at her home 2 1/2 miles southeast of Woodbine, Sept. 4, 1932, at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 13 days. She spent most of her life in Iowa. The only exception being a short time spent in Illinois and Missouri. In 1874 she was united in marriage to Thomas E. Wiley. To this union seven children were born, three boys and four girls. Her husband and two children, Ora and Carrie, preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing, one brother, Charles Holeton of Nebraska City, Nebr; two sons, William and Bob of Woodbine, and three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Witt of Logan, Mrs. Millie Butcher of Woodbine and Mrs. Rose McKean of Logan. There is also one foster son, Wilbur Wiley of Council Bluffs, 23 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and many other relatives and a host of friends. She joined the M. E. church when a child but in later years became a member of the Woodbine Church of Christ. It was said of her that she was a kind mother, a faithful friend and a good neighbor. Rev. Railsback conducted the funeral service Tuesday afternoon at the Church of Christ. Burial was in the Woodbine cemetery.
