He was born in County Tipperary, Ireland, On September 13, 1862, came to the United States and settled in Atchison, Kan. in 1886, then moved to Jefferson County, where he lived most of his life, operating a store in Newman for many years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Burke; two sons, Martin, of Topeka, and Thomas , of Newman; a daughter Nannie Montague of Topeka; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Feehan, of Kansas City; Mrs. Maria Christianson, of New York City, and Miss Anna Burke, of Ireland; and...
