Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Redfield. The Thelen Funeral Home, Redfield, was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Holm died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at his home. He was born Dec. 30, 1953, in Ipswich to Melvin and Gertrude (Kono) Holm. He grew up in Redfield and attended Redfield High School. After high school he worked at various jobs before attending Sturgis Vo-Tech to learn the carpenter trade. He worked on several oil rigs before moving to Redfield and working at the carpenter shop and powerhouse at SDDC-Redfield. He married Linda Kreeger in 1981. In 1999 he started Holm Construction and was self-employed for a few years. Currently he was working as a DSPI at the Developmental Center. He enjoyed hunting, relaxing with his friends and family and listening to music. He owned several Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed all aspects of a Harley, from working on them and cleaning them to mostly riding them. Survivors include his daughters: Lindsay Holm, Aberdeen and Carmen Holm, Watertown; one brother: Mark Holm, Redfield; two sisters: Sherry (Harold) Campbell, McIntosh, and Trudy (Jim) Vickerman, Tucson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
