Read More	Auto Victim Passes Away Matt Wynn Dies After 60 Hours in Unconscious State After nearly 60 hours in an unconscious state, Matt Wynn, farmer residing near Jefferson, South Dakota, died in a Sioux City hospital as a result of injuries received Tuesday when he was struck by an automobile. The dead man never regained consciousness. The accident occurred in Riverside when Wynn started to cross the street after finishing a conversation with a friend. According to the driver of the car which fatally injured Wynn, the man did not look to see if any car was approaching before attempting to make the crossing. Mr. Wynn was born in Tyler County, West Virginia in 1869 In 1875 he came to Yankton, South Dakota with his parents and shortly after he became of age he moved to Wynot, Nebraska where he engaged in the lumber business. He stayed at Wynot until about 10 years ago when he moved with his family to a farm near Jefferson. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, two sons, and one brother. The body is at Westcott's undertaking parlors pending funeral arrangements. Sioux City Journal, Friday, November 14, 1924, page 11. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Funeral services for Matt Wynn, of Jefferson, South Dakota, will be held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at Westcott's undertaking chapel. Mr. Wynn died Friday night in a Sioux City hospital of injuries suffered when he was hit by an automobile in Riverside last Tuesday. The body will be taken to the Wynn cemetery four miles west of Jefferson for interment. Sioux City Journal, Saturday, November 15, 1924, page 14.
