Robertson reading the Christian Science service. Burial was in the Groton cemetery. Mattie B. Ball was born on June 9, 1889, at Ferney. She lived her entire life in this area. On February 12, 1913, she was married to Ed. Hofer at Verdon and they established their home near that place. Later they moved to Bath, before establishing their home in Aberdeen in 1920. Mr. Hofer died several years ago. Survivors are a son, Everett Hofer, Bath; a brother, Frank E. Ball, Verdon; two sisters, Mrs. George Tollefson, Nampa, Idaho, and Mrs. Myrtle Clemensen, Aberdeen, and three grandchildren. Among those attending the last rites were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Ball, and son, Robert Ball, Mr. and MRs. Henry Ball and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tollefson of Verdon; Mr. and Mss. Henry Dingsor and family of Ortley, and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Clemensen of Conde.
