Description	:	Mattie Belle (Kelly) DeYoung, 91, of Duncan, SC, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012, at her home. She was the wife of Joseph W. "J.W." DeYoung Sr. for 72 years and the daughter of the late Melton and Fannie (Smith) Kelly. Ms. DeYoung was co owner and operator of DeYoung Beauty Shop in Lyman for over 58 years. She was a member of Duncan Church of Christ for more than 71 years and a former Sunday School Teacher at the church. DeYoung Sr. for 72 years and the daughter of the late Melton and Fannie (Smith) Kelly. Ms. DeYoung was co owner and operator of DeYoung Beauty Shop in Lyman for over 58 years. She was a member of Duncan Church of Christ for more than 71 years and a former Sunday School Teacher at the church. Survivors also include three sons, Joe DeYoung of Saganaw, TX, Rick DeYoung and Ronnie DeYoung, both of Duncan; two daughters, Josephine D. Green of Duncan, and Freida D. Thomas of the home; a sister, Massie Henline of Inman, 21 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 7 brothers and a sister. Services were 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 19th at Duncan Church of Christ with Ministers Dane Waggoner, Jon Mitchell, and Joe Van Pelt officiating. The family received friends from 10:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorials could be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 270 Fairwinds Road, Landrum, SC 29356.
