Description	:	Highland Recorder February 2, 1951 MATTTE BOWERS WAGNER Funeral services were held for Mrs Mattie Bowers Wagner, widow of Joe Wagner, at the Thorny Bottom Church, Sunday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev Price Moore, officiating. Mrs. Wagner died at her home near Blue Grass Friday evenings having been ill only the one day. Interment was in the Home Place Graveyard. Active pallbearers were Robert Fleisher, Charles Fleisher, Ralph Propst, Herbert Rexrode, Ralph Rexrode and Carl Rexrode. Mrs. Wagner was a daughter of Harrison and Lizzie Rexrode Bowers and was born December 14, 1887. She was a member of the methodist Church, having Joined at the Thorny Bottom Church in 1910. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Roy Fleisher, Monterey; Mrs. Ernest Propst, Franklin, W Va., and Mrs. Sam Whitecotton, at home; one son, Mr. Fred Wagner, Monterey; one sister, Mrs. Bruce Smith, Monterey, and two brothers Dennis Bowers, Staunton, and Russell Bowers, Monterey, also 16 grandchildren.
