Description	:	Daughter of Kenneth & Stella Luce Holtzman Mattie Dillavou 9-24-05 Born Oct. 10, 1919, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Stella Luce Holtzman. She married Forest Dillavou. He died in 1970. Mrs. Dillavou worked for Holtzman's Grocery in Waterloo, which was owned by her brother, before her marriage. She also worked at Chamberlain's as part of the war effort. She was a 1939 graduate of Arlington High School. She lived in Evansdale for many years. She enjoyed crafts, helped with Boy Scouts and was a 4-H leader for many years. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church... She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church of Evansdale for many years and was a member of Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church in Waterloo. Survivors include two sons, Forest Dillavou of Waterloo and Marv Dillavou of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Julia Batchelder of Evansdale and Brenda Dillavou of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her twin sister, Minnie Roquet of Waterloo. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two infant daughters, one grandson; eight brothers and one sister. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service Saturday at Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church. The funeral for Mrs. Dillavou will be at Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church. Following the service there will be a luncheon at the church. Family burial will be in Salem South Cemetery in Salem.
