Description	:	Olive Glanzer, age 91, of Huron, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the SunQuest Health Care Center. Her funeral service was at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 7th at the Bethesda Church with Rev. Phil Plett officiating. Burial was in Ideal Cemetery. M. Read More	Olive Glanzer, age 91, of Huron, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the SunQuest Health Care Center. Her funeral service was at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 7th at the Bethesda Church with Rev. Phil Plett officiating. Burial was in Ideal Cemetery. M. Olive King was born June 18, 1919, in Huron, to Milton G. and Katherine (Therkildsen) King. She grew up in Huron and graduated from Huron High School in 1938. She married Jacob S. Glanzer and became a farmer's wife, moving to a farm near Bloomfield, and then finally to a farm near Yale where they lived and raised their family for 35 years. Upon her confession of faith in Jesus Christ she was baptized in the James River near Huron. She was a former member of the Bethel Church near Yale where she taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. In 1979 they retired from the farm and moved to Huron. She spent her days having coffee with her many friends, working crossword puzzles, reading and crocheting afghans. She made sure all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many others, received one of her afghans. She loved visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She especially loved telling and retelling her grandchildren the many stories of events that would happen when she took care of them while they were growing up, remembering every detail until her very last story was told on March 3, 2011. She entered the SunQuest Health Care Center in Huron, in November 2009 and remained there until her death. She was a member of the Bethesda Church in Huron. She is survived by two sons, Skip (Juanita) Glanzer and Bob (Penny) Glanzer and two daughters, Linda (Jim) Friesen and Gloria (Lynn) Schneider all of Huron; nine grandchildren, Kent Glanzer of Sterling, Colorado, Kim (Danny) Currin of Garden City, Kansas, Sally (Brad) Burkholder of Hesston, Kansas, Scott (Stephanie) Friesen of Mitchell, Brent (Vicky) Schneider of Brookings, Tom (Stephanie) Glanzer of Huron, Amy (Nathan) Williams of Tea, Jon (Ann) Schneider of Brookings, and Aaron (Sheila) Schneider of Hoffman Estates, Illinois; twenty-one great grandchildren; Tucker, Baylee and Madison Glanzer, Jeffrey Currin, Cassidy and Carson Burkholder, Maxim, Brecken and Kolby Glanzer, Olivea Friesen, Kristen, MiKayla, Rebekah and Jacob Williams, Jacob, Abigail and Julianna Schneider, Sydney, Owen and Cooper Schneider, and Alexander Schneider, two step-great grandsons; Jordan Port and Trystan McMath; one sister-in-law, Wilma King of Downey, California; and eight nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jacob in 1993; four brothers Donald, Lewis, Kenneth and Milton (Jr.) King; two infant nephews; and one niece, Brenda King Harms.
