Her illness was of long duration. —Mrs. Stuart was born five miles northeast of Shelbyville on December 5, 1890, a daughter of the late John W. McKethen and Josephine Forman McKethen. —She taught school in Shelbyville ten years before her marriage to Victor F. Stuart on November 13, 1920. They had no children. Mr. Stuart died in December, 1952. —Mrs. Stuart was a member of the Leonard Christian Church and a past president of Chapter M, P.E.O., Shelbyville. —Mr. and Mrs. Stuart were in the grocery and hardware business in Leonard for a number of years. —Survivors include three sisters: Mrs. Henry (Lola) Erdman, Mrs. W. C. (Grace) Hewitt, and Mrs. T. V. (Kathryn) Sams, all of Shelbyville; three nieces and two nephews, Mrs. George Saffarrans, Monroe City; Mrs. Robert N. Wright, Kansas City; Mrs. Robert Maddox, Macon; Guilford Erdman, Albuquerque, N.M. and Rogers Hewitt, Shelbyville. Also surviving are six great-nieces, seven great-nephews and other relatives. —Funeral services, conducted by Rev. David DeVilder, Leonard Christian minister, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Davis Funeral Home in Shelbina, Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Shelbyville.
