Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Maude H. Sorensen were held on Thursday afternoon, November 30, 1972 at two o'clock from the Willim Funeral Home in Dows. Rev. W. O. Niles, pastor of First Presbyterian church officiated at the service and burial was in Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Sorensen died on Monday afternoon at the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove at the age of 83. Mrs. Sorensen died on Monday afternoon at the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove at the age of 83. Born on July 13, 1889 on a farm south of Dows she was the daughter of Julius W. and Harriet Peterson Dielman and grew to womanhood in this area. She was married to Edward Sorensen on October 16, 1919 in the state of Nebraska and they lived there for a few years before returning to Dows. For many years Mr. Sorensen operated a trucking company in Dows. He died in 1954 and she continued to live in Dows until she moved to the Rotary Ann Home in April of 1963. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Al (Lottie) Bailey of Dows and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
