Cole of Hastings, died at 5:45 Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clyde Shipley, at Hastings. She had been ill for more than two weeks. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11, 1936 at 2:30 at the Methodist church with Rev. Homer B. Hix in charge. The obituary will appear in next week Edgar Sun. ======================= The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE), Friday, December 18, 1936; pg. 1 Maud Rose Lang Cole Maude Rose Lang Cole was born April 9, 1876 at Williamsburg, Penn., and passed away December 9, 1936 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Clyde Shipley, Hastings, Nebraska. She leaves to mourn her passing a loving husband, nine daughters and twenty grandchildren. One son and one daughter preceded her in death. At an early age she gave her heart to God and was a faithful member of the Methodist church (sic) at York and later transferred her letter to the Edgar church of which she was a member at the time of her death. On February 28, 1934, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Cole celebrated their golden wedding in Edgar. Funeral services were held Friday, December 11 at 2:30 at the Edgar Methodist church (sic) with Rev Homer B. Hix in charge. Interment was made in the Edgar cemetery. Pallbearers were B. W. Merrill, Edgar Organ, Roy Moore, Ernest Wade, Harvey Countryman and Pete Kneau.
