She passed away March 23, 2019 at the age of 81. Leota was united in marriage to Robert Gene Sechrest on June 8, 1957 at Winona, MO. To this union four children were born: Randy Gene, Tammy Leann, Kerry “Don”, and Kevin Ray. Those preceding her in death were her mother and father, Nettie and Sam; four sisters, Demoie Willis, Lenora Hunter, Leola Trammell, Leona Sechrest; two brothers, Sam and Douglas Begley; one grandchild, Jessica Dawn Sechrest; a daughter-in-law, Leslie Renee (Butler) Sechrest; and a son-in-law, Tom Freeman. Those who survive her are her children, Randy and Kevin Sechrest of Winona, MO; Tammy Miley of Birch Tree, MO; and Don Sechrest and wife Dorinda of Birch Tree, MO; grandchildren Brandon, Matthew, Adam, and Cole Sechrest, Samantha Voyles, Derrick Miley, Austin Freeman, and Missy, TJ, Jessie, David, Joey, and Jason Freeman. She had many great grandchildren whom she loved very much. Leota had one surviving sister, Leann McCallister, and one brother, Utah Begley. She also leaves many nieces and nephews that she loved. Leota always worked hard to support her family. She has worked at nursing homes, sawmills, factories, diners, and was a great baby sitter to many children. She was a strong willed person that loved her family and always put them first. She never complained about her life. Leota became a Christian late in life and enjoyed her gardening, crafts, yard saling, and reading. She will be sadly missed until we meet again. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in Yarber Mortuary chapel, Winona, Missouri with Pastor Jeff Brake officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the services, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Lawn Cemetery, Winona
