Read More	FINAL RITES FOR MAURETA SPURGEON FOUTS: Maureta Christine Fouts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Spurgeon, of San Mateo, CA was born July 9, 1915 near West Grove, IA and died Wednesday June 11, 1969 at San Mateo hospital, after a lengthy illness at the aqe of 53 years 11 months and two days. She lived in Davis County and Ottumwa, Iowa until moving to California twelve years ago. She was married to Ronald D. Fouts, September 7, 1936 and to this union three children, one son and two daughters were born. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Roneta at the age of five and one half months. She accepted Christ as her Savior when a young lady and became a member of the First Christian Church in Bloomfield, IA. She lived a consistant Christian life aned taught her children to serve the Lord. She often made the remark to her loved ones, she was ready to go, if it was the Lord's will. At the time of her death she was a member of the San Mateo Christian Church of which she was a faithful member and worker. Survivors include her parents, her husband; son Phillip and daughter Phyllis of San Mateo, CA; two brothers, Dillon Spurgeon of Burlingame, CA, and Jack Spurgeon of Anchorage, AK; one sister, Quindola Lyman of Sioux City, IA. Funeral services were conducted at San Mateo, on Saturday, June 14, 1969 and memorial services wereheld in Bloomfield, IA June 16, 1969 at the Wagler Funeral Home by Rev. M. C. Yoakam. Burial was in the I.O.O.F Cemetery, Bloomfield. Pallbearers were the nephews of Mrs. Fouts, Steve Lyman, Jerry Chiocoine, Donald Norton, Greg Rudd, Larry Walker and Terry Walker. Relatives from Lancaster attending funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Andrews, Mrs. Anna Henson and Mrs. Russell Dabney. Published in Lancaster Excelsior, Lancaster, MO.
