The Rosary was recited on Friday, October 12 at 8 p.m. at Ohde Funeral Home. Maurice died after a short illness on October 11, 1984 at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames at the age of 54 years, 2 months and 6 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Diane Susan, in infancy. Surviving are his wife, Donna, Coon Rapids; daughters, Debra and Deanna Weeks, Coon Rapids; stepsons: Pete Reid, Carlisle; Dean Reid, Blockton; Denny Reid, Emporia, Ks.; six grandchildren; brothers: Richard Weeks, Audubon; Harold Weeks, Dedham; Cleo Weeks and Ronald Weeks, Des Moines; Dale Weeks, Woodward; sisters: Mrs. Robert (Edna) Broich and Mrs. Twilla Hoffman, both of Gray. Maurice, son of Earl and Susan Gerber Weeks, was born August 5, 1930, in Audubon County, Iowa. He attended school in Viola Center where he graduated in 1948. On July 23, 1964, Maurice was united in marriage with Donna Sigler at Annunciation Catholic Church in Coon Rapids with the Rev. Robert Dougherty officiating. After their marriage they made their home in Coon Rapids where he worked for 28 years for Garst & Thomas Seed Corn Company. In 1982 he was force to retire due to ill health. He was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church here.
