Comeau, 96, of Leominster, died Tuesday, March 14, in the Life Care Center of Leominster. He was born in Leominster on April 20, 1909, the son of the late Ernest and the late Rosa (Pare) Comeau. Mr. Comeau was employed as a courier by Central Carrier in Leominster for 20 years, was previously a short order cook, and also worked as a bartender at the St. Jean de Baptist Club and as a cook and bartender at the Plymouth Café for several years. He was a member of St. Jean De Baptist Club of Leominster, the Eagles No. 477 in Leominster and the Leominster Senior Citizens Club. Mr. Comeau leaves a stepson, David Boucher of Leominster; a stepdaughter, Doris Conners of Leominster; a sister, Cecile Cahill of Leominster; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Comeau of Fitchburg; a grandchild, Donna (Progin) Richards of Virginia; four great-grandchildren, Tiffany Landry of Fitchburg, Tyler Landry of Lunenburg, William Comeau of Fitchburg, and Tamara Richards of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna (Tuttle) Comeau in 1973, his son John M. Comeau of Leominster, his daughter Marilyn Cote, his sister, Grace Comeau, and grandchild, Debbie (Comeau) Landry. COMEAU -- On March 14, Maurice “Moe” E. Comeau, 96, of Leominster. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 17, at 11 a.m. in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Lancaster Street, Leominster. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to St. Cecilia’s Church Renovation Fund, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster, MA 01453.
