Maurice was born May 14, 1930 at Randolph, NE to Casper and Olive (Dowling) Moser. He grew up at Randolph and in 1951 he joined the U.S. Marines. He served during the Korean War and was stationed in California and then in Korea. He was discharged in 1954. He lived at Hartington, NE from 1954 and until moving to Fremont in 1970. Moser, 80 years, of Bellevue, NE , formerly of Fremont, NE died Friday, February 4, 2011 at Bellevue Medical Center. Maurice was born May 14, 1930 at Randolph, NE to Casper and Olive (Dowling) Moser. He grew up at Randolph and in 1951 he joined the U.S. Marines. He served during the Korean War and was stationed in California and then in Korea. He was discharged in 1954. He lived at Hartington, NE from 1954 and until moving to Fremont in 1970. Maurice owned and operated a candy sales business, Moser Sales, until retiring in 1993. He traveled throughout the United States from 1993-2004, when he returned to Fremont. He moved to Bellevue in 2010. Maurice married Monica R. Burbach October 1, 1951 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Hartington, NE. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont, a life member of Knights of Columbus Council 1497 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #200 in Fremont. Survivors include: wife, Monica of Bellevue, NE; sons – Theodore "Ted" and wife Barb Moser of Norwalk, IA and Gary & wife, Chris Moser of Omaha; daughters - Sharon and husband Bob Bean of Colorado Springs, CO, Donna and husband Joe Herring of Bellevue, NE, Julie Bull of Colorado Springs, CO and Amy Joseph of Bellevue, NE; sister – Faye and husband Gene Steinkamp of Granger, IA; sister-in-law – Alfreda Moser of Randolph, NE; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his Parents; son – David A. Moser; 3 brothers – Thomas, Floyd, and Jim Moser; and sister – Marilyn Steinkamp. The Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont, NE. Father Own Korte will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, February 7th, 3-8 P.M. with family receiving friends 6-7:30 P.M. and a Knights of Columbus Living Rosary at 7:30 P.M. all at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont. Visitation will continue one hour prior the service at church Tuesday. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont with military honors conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of V.F.W Post #854 and American Legion Post #20. Memorials may be given to St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Moser Memorial Chapel – Fremont, NE is in charge of arrangements. 402-721-4490
