Maurice "Bud" Fox, 64, of Cascade Locks, OR, died February 26, 1999 following a brief illness after his cancer had come out of remission and metastasized to his liver. He was born October 8, 1934, in Sidney, IA, to Vernon, R. Fox and Edith Britomarte (Coffman) Fox. He was the 4th of 10 siblings and Edith's first child. He passed away peacefully at home with his loving companion, Audrey Peters, by his side. He was an skilled mechanic, there was seemingly nothing he couldn't figure out and fix. His love of cars began as a youngster. He owned and operated several full-service stations as a young man and later worked internationally with Morrison–Knudsen on heavy equipment. He worked for several years on the Alaska Pipeline in Valdez, AK in the 1970's followed by assignments in Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong. Preceding him in death were his father, Infant son, Vernon Fox; sister, Alice (Fox) Iverson; and two brothers, Leo and Keith Fox. He is survived by three daughters, Lori Fox of Portland, OR; Victoria Wallner of Port Angeles, WA; and Veronica Weisser of Bellingham, WA; son, Danny Fox of Lafayette, OR; mother, Edith Fox of Sidney; 2 grandsons, Kyle and Dylan Wallner; companion and friend of fourteen years, Audrey Peters of Cascade Locks; OR; three sisters, Beverly (Fox) Prowles of Sidney, Barbara (Fox) Handy and Betty (Fox) Moyer both of Percival, IA; three brothers, Eldon Fox of Sidney, Carl Fox of New Braunfels, TX and Harry Fox of Wamic, OR; numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
