Read More	Mavis Elva (Mareska) Ryan, 89, of Billings, Montana, died at her home December 1, 2016. She was born in Tabor, Bon Homme County, South Dakota April 10, 1927, the daughter of Frank and Julia (Macha) Mareska. Her father, Frank, died September 4, 1928. Her mother married Frank Nesladek July 17, 1933, and the family moved to a farm south of Pukwana, Brule Co., SD. In 1946, the family moved into Pukwana. Being born during the depression, she was on her own at the age of 14. She worked at a café and lived in a boarding house. She married William Francis "Bill" Ryan July 30,1951 in Brule Co., SD. They became the parents of three sons: Patrick, Thomas and Michael. Mavis is survived by her sons Thomas and Michael; daughters-in-law Sally and Sue; grandchildren Ryan Meza; Sean, Erin and Shaun Ryan; Sheena Wentz; great-grandchildren Arcie, Chente and Ellie Meza; Abigail and Mackenzie Wentz. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, and son Patrick. Celebration of Life and Wake: June 14, 2017 at the Lions Den. Arrangements: Dahl Funeral Chapel.
