Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Mavis Lovik, 72, of Forest City, were held Friday at Pilot Knob Lutheran Chruch in Forest City. Rev. Orville Walters officiated. Burial was at Winnebago Lutheran cemetery in Lake Mills. Organist at the funeral was Mrs. Ruth Oakland. Soloists included Carole Kettwick and Marlys Anderson. Casket bearers were Terry Holtan, Valere Holtan, Scott Lovik, Noel Holtan, Mark Lovik and Michael Oleson . Mrs. Lovik died Tuesday, July 5, at St. Joseph Mercy hospital in Mason City. She was born Feb. 25, 1916, in Win nebago county to George and Marie (Haugen) Holtan. She was a graduate of Waldorf College. She married Lloyd Lovik Jan. 16, 1938, at the parsonage at the Winnebago Lutheran church. They farmed in Winnebago county until they retired and moved to Forest City. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd;, two sons, Marcus of Fertile and Lamar of Bondurant; four brothers, Herbert and Wayne Holtan, both of Lake Mills; Joel Holtan of Forest City, and Boyd Holtan of Margantown, W. Va.; five grandchildren; seven step-grand children; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three daughters and a grandson.
