Description	:	From Nevada Evening Journal November 1979 Max R. Cook Max R. Cook, 64, of 117 South Franklin, Ames, died Friday, Nov. 9, at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames. Born Sept. 20, 1915 in Nevada to Ray and Grace Mayo Cook, he was a 1933 graduate of Nevada High School. Mr. Cook married Blanche William Aug. 3, 1957 in Cedar Falls. He was in the road construction business in Ames and was a 25-year member of the Ames Elks Lodge. He was predeceased in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Services will be Monday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, with Pastor John Chadwick officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
