He was born on February 26, 1923 in Athens, Ohio, the son of Ruth and Ernest Baughman. He has lived at 12 Berkley Drive in Chillicothe for nearly 60 years. He was married to Janice Keller in 1948, the daughter of Claud and Nina Keller of Charleston, W. Virginia. Read More	CHILLICOTHE: Max Vernon Baughman, age 88, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Traditions in Chillicothe. He was born on February 26, 1923 in Athens, Ohio, the son of Ruth and Ernest Baughman. He has lived at 12 Berkley Drive in Chillicothe for nearly 60 years. He was married to Janice Keller in 1948, the daughter of Claud and Nina Keller of Charleston, W. Virginia. They were married for 62 years and had two sons, Mark (Nancy Sabattini) in Sarasota, Florida, and Tom (Lori Weeks) in Nashville, Tennessee; and two grandchildren, Holly and Matthew. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II on a B-17 crew. He graduated from Ohio University where he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, and became a teacher in the Chillicothe public schools. From the mid 60's to the mid 70's he served 5 terms as a councilman-at-large. He was a member of the Walnut Street Methodist Church. He was always involved with political issues, followed all national and world news, and was a wonderful gardener. He was a kind and compassionate person, and he added much to the world in his time on this earth.
