Max attended school in Alden, Iowa graduating from Alden High School in 1935. He went on to attend the University of Northern Iowa and later Iowa State University. Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Max Trousdale was born on Thursday; October 12, 1916 in Alden; Hardin County, Iowa. He was the son of: Guilford and Otsie (Walton) Trousdale. Max attended school in Alden, Iowa graduating from Alden High School in 1935. He went on to attend the University of Northern Iowa and later Iowa State University. In May of 1942 he wed his beloved, Ardith Cundall, at the Dows Methodist Church. Later that same year, he was inducted into the army. He served in the army during World War II, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. He received an honorable discharge in December of 1945 and returned home to farm with his father. Max spent his life as a steward of the land, leaving his family's century farm in 1995. Max was a member of the Alden American Legion for over 60 years, a member of the United Methodist Church for over 50 years, as well as a member of the Alden-Popejoy Lions Club and the American Dairy Association. Max Trousdale, age: 94, passed away on Thursday; March 24, 2011 at the Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls; Hardin County, Iowa. Those left to mourn his passing are: His wife: Ardith, his four daughters: Kaye, Jill, Ann and Mara, his six grandchildren: Carren, Erin, Ashley, David, Jessie and Kiley, as well as, five great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Jacob, Grace, Max and Ivan. The oldest of three sons, Max was preceded in death by his parents: Guilford and Otsie and his brothers: Faye and Merle Trousdale. May they rest in peace. May God bless his memory and give strength to those that mourn. Visitation will be from: 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday; March 27, 2011 at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Funeral services will begin at: 10:30 a.m. on Monday; March 28, 2011 at the Alden United Methodist Church. Friends and acquaintances are invited to join the family in celebration of Max's life.
